What means wise mobility? Or sustainable mobility? City-bikes and electrical vehicles are everywhere. Do you know mobility services in your region? The aim is to reduce transport emissions.  With these studies you can learn more how to plan wise mobility.

In wise mobility -studies you learn many new concepts and embrace travel chain thinking. You can schedule your own studies and it is possible to work and perform assignments 24/7. The whole studies are e-learning, but you should reserve time at least  7-10 days and you earn 3 credit points from wise mobility studies.

In case you have not understood something you can contact the teachers via discussion area. 
Timeline (not necessary to follow and please notice that there is more work during weeks 4-7):

Week 1: Introduction
First you listen videos and make online test after that from each part.

Week 2: Concepts and targets
First you have to watch some videos and then read some materials. After that you do an assignment and define some concepts.

Week 3: Deepening knowledge
First you read some materials and after that you do online test.

Week 4: Travel chains
You do an assignment and describe your own experiences from travel chains and do also peer-review.

Week 5: Mobility services
You do an assignment and introduce some mobility services and do also peer-review.

Weeks 6-7: Mobility management as a tool
First you watch some videos, read some materials and after that you do an assignment with mobility management as a tool in major events. Please notice that this will take you more time than other assignments.

Week 8: Self-assessment and summary
You do self-assessment what you have learned during the studies and make a summary based on what you learned.

Materials produced by student are saved in Moodle for a year and removed after that.

Learning outcomes in wise mobility studies:

Student:

  • understands what means wise and sustainable mobility and mobility management
  • understands what are the common goals of wise mobility possibilities and also restrictions in it
  • understands the difference in people´s mobility and in mode of transport choices
  • understands travel chains and what are mobility services
  • knows basics of travel/mobility research, research methods and how to utilize them.
  • learn to give feedback, peer review others work and do self assessment

  • Focus and take time to your studies
  • Work and read the materials carefully
  • Ask, if you don´t know or understand something
  • In the end do self assessment and give feedback

The module is assessed as passed /failed.
